November favorites

Since we're closing in on the end of the month during a holiday week, I figured that I would share my monthly faves a bit early. As the weather cools off, I've found myself using more seasonally appropriate products (i.e. darker, warmer colors & spicier, heavier scents). Here are the products that I reached for most this month.

I just posted an overall review of the Too Faced A Few of My Favorite Things palette set here. As for what is an actual fave this month--the eye shadows! I've been using these shadows since I picked it up during the VIB sale a few weeks ago.

Being that my skin is back to it's natural pasty state, my under eye circles are much more noticeable. So I busted out my Eve Pearl Salmon Concealer and Treatment in Light. This product acts as a corrector for those pesky dark blue-ish circles. Once corrected, I apply MAC Pro Longewear Concealer in NW20with my ring finger and pat it in, then set it with Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder applied with a fluffy brush. For the most part, this does the trick. The corrector really is the star of this show.

In order to add a little life to my complexion, I depend on blush. I got this Laura Geller Baked Brulee Blush in Berry Creme which is described as a medium rose pink. This product is a gorgeous rosy berry shade on my skin and leaves a healthy luminous finish. This product gives me a nice healthy glow which I can really used this time of year.

Cold weather is the cause of of pasty, dry skin and chapped lips-- ugh. I have a lip balm in the pocket of every coat, jacket and purse. I found this two-sided balm from Chapstick Mixstix in Green Apple Caramel. The balm is light-weight yet moisturizing, and it has 2 awesome scents/flavors that can be worn on their own or combined. Such nice fall-inspired flavors...mmmmm.

I heard Makeup By Tiffany D compare L'Oreal Voluminous Full Definition mascara to Armani Eyes to Kill Excess mascara, so I have to give it a try. I've never tried the Armani mascara because I just can't bring myself to lay out $30 on a product that I need to toss in 3 months. But $7.29, that I can do. I have to say that I really like this formula. It's volumizing and lengthening. Good find!

I love heavier scents when the weather cools off. Kate Walsh's Boyfriend is perfect. It is a warm combination of leather, tobacco, amber and vanilla. It's ever so slightly masculine but I love it. It's the perfect cozy, warm fragrance for this time of year.

So there you have it, my November faves. On my way to racking up some December faves. I can hardly believe that the holidays are upon us already.

Love,
Michele
