February Favorites!

Another month comes to an end and I've got a few faves to share. Honestly I cannot wait for this frigid weather to disappear and for Spring shades to be back on my lips and tips! And to not have to deal with parched skin caused by low temperature or indoor heating-- yuck! We're getting there (taps fingernails impatiently).

NYC Expert Last Lip Color in Berry Me: I picked this lip stick up on a whim. For $1.99 it was worth a try. I'm always looking for MLBB shades and this one reminded me of an old Revlon shade that I used to wear in high school. Though it's not a spot-on MLBB shade when applied (a little too pink), it's pretty decent. And the formula is lovely for such a cheap product.-- pigmented but not too thick. I'm tempted to pick up a few more.

MAC Cosmetics Fix+: I love this stuff. I spray my foundation brush (a synthetic flat-top kabuki) with it before I apply my foundation. It keep get the bristles wet so they don't soak up too much of the liquid make up and help to slightly sheer out the product so it applies more smoothly-- look ma, no brush strokes! I also use it to take down that powdery appearance after I apply setting powder or mineral foundation. It leave a much more natural finish-- no cake face!

Orly Smart Gels Cuticle Oil: I try to use this every morning after I get out of the shower and then follow up with a rich hand cream. This is a slightly thicker cuticle oil than most that I've tried and seems to be really moisturizing. And it has a fresh fruity scent!

IBD Just Gel Nail Polish in Funny Bone: I live this cool, light pink shade with a cream finish. I applied 3 thin coats for nice opaque coverage. I feel like it's a good winter & spring shade. I wore it for the first half of February and will definitely use it again in the near future.

Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-on Eye Pencil in Smog: These are seriously HG status in my book/ The 24/7 pencils are the standard that I hold all other pencils to. Some come close, but the shades that the real deal are available in are remarkable. Smog is a beautiful coppery bronze shade. It really warms up my look and bring the gold tones in my eyes out. I usually apply this the the lower lash line ans smudge with my finger or a pencil brush for a smokey effect.

Love,
Michele
