My VIB & Beauty.com Haul!

So I went a little overboard with the 20% off sales a couple of weeks ago. I started off being reasonable in-store at Sephora but then I just couldn't help myself online. 20% off is a great sale-- that's what I told myself :-) Here's my haul.

My plan all along was to grab the Two Faced A Few of My Favorite Things Palette and  Formula X for Sephora Nail Polish in Ignite. Check and check. Then I placed an order for Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer in Light 3 Honey and Anastasia of Beverly Hills Brow Whiz in Brunette. As if that wasn't enough, I also placed an order on Beauty.com to take advantage of their sale too: LORAC Rockin' Red Hot 3D Lustre Set and Tarte empasEYES Amazonian Clay Waterproof Brow Pencil in Medium Brown.

I used the Two Faced palette for a majority of last week. With such variety of gorgeous shades I wore several different combinations. I was interested in trying the blushes, bronzers, Lip Injection and Better Than Sex mascara. A more in-depth review to come. In my opinion, the real shining stars of this palette are the shadows. There are 2 shadows that are a bit flaky but the rest are beautiful.

I wanted a deep oxblood shade of polish so I choose Ignite which is described as a "smoking red." I've heard a few great reviews of this product on YouTube. The formula is said to have the wear and shine of a gel manicure with the ease of traditional removal. I just removed my gel mani yesterday so I applied Formula X today. My first impressions are that the formula dries quickly, this shade requires 2 coats and the brush is skinny and stiff, making application a little finicky. I topped off the mani with Seche Vite. I'm interested in seeing who this product wears this week.

I'm still test driving the LORAC 3D Lustre drops and the the brow pencils before I can give my opinion. The Nars concealer shade is very off-- I wish I remembered to test this product out in-store. I think that I will exchange it for another shade. Maybe Custard or Ginger. But after that, I'm on a no-buy through the end of the year (at least)!

Love,
Michele
