October Birchbox is here!

My October Birchbox arrived last Friday. I tore the box open and then had to hit the road so I didn't really get to play with the goodies. I got a better look last night when I came home from work. Here's a pic of this month's products...

Supergoop! City Sunscreen Serum
First off, the content of this tube is much less than one would think based on the size of this tube. It  probably contains only 1-2 applications of this product...that's disappointing. Anyways...the actual product has a very thin, liquidy texture which absorbs quickly into the skin. It almost feels like nothing is on the skin, which is awesome for a sunscreen. The SPF scent is very minimal. This is a plus for me.

Pop Beauty Aqua Lacquer in Flowering Fuchsia
The formula of this lipgloss is a bit thick feeling on the lips. The shade that I received is a translucent fuchsia pink. The applicator is a small rubbery paddle rather than a doe-foot applicator. Because it's a non-porous material, you end up applying too much product. Not my favorite gloss.

Dr. Brandt Microdermabrasion Skin Exfoliator
I love physical exfoliators with very fine abrasive particles. This formula contains typical microdermabrasion aluminum oxide crystals, which are not really visible to the eye but you can definitely feel them on the fingertips and face. After use of this product my skin looks super soft and glowy. Nice product.

Atelier Cologne Orange Sanguine
Meh, mildly fruity. Nothing that I would usually be drawn to but not offensive in anyway. Maybe I'll try wearing it, I dunno.

Chapstick Hydration Lock in Vanilla Creme
I have a million Chapsticks in my possession. They are a necessity for New England winters. The formula of this particular Chapstick is lighter and softer than the original formula. It feels light on the lips and not overly slippery under lipstick. The faint scent of vanilla is also nice.

So that's the scoop for the month of October. Better than last month but there's still room for improvement!
